MODEC has become a member of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP), placing MODEC at the center of discussions among a select group of almost 100 member organizations, including integrated energy companies, national oil companies, independent upstream operators, service companies, and industry associations, that operate globally.

The membership sets out a framework for collaboration across the following corporate priorities:

 Safety: Health; Safety; Security; Wells
Energy Transition: Carbon Capture and Storage; Low Carbon Operational Efficiency
Engineering: Digital Transformation; Geomatics; Standards; Subsea
 Environment: Decommissioning; Environment; Metocean

“We are confident that this partnership will strengthen our commitment to continuously evolve industry practices and standards in various areas and aspects, in collaboration with the most relevant organizations in the sector. MODEC fully aligns with the values of IOGP. Our global presence, combined with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and technical innovation such as a low-carbon future, positions us strategically to actively contribute to the association’s forums, studies, and working groups,” said MODEC Group COO, Katusyuki Imaizumi.

IOGP en“We are delighted to welcome MODEC to IOGP. Their global expertise in offshore engineering and operations will add valuable perspectives and drive continuous progress in our collective efforts to advance safety, efficiency, and low-carbon solutions across the industry”, said IOGP CEO, Graham Henley.

Why is this important to MODEC?

Membership of IOGP is fully aligned with MODEC’s business and the ambition is to lead with safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. As a global leader of the offshore oil & gas industry in the engineering, construction, chartering, and operation of FPSOs, FSOs, TLPs and MOPU with a presence in 18 countries and a track record of over 50 units delivered, MODEC brings practical experience to contribute to the association’s forums, studies, and working groups. At the same time, MODEC will have expanded access to benchmark practices/standards and learnings that will support:

  • HSSE excellence, reinforcing our Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) approach.
  • the operational reliability, process safety enhancement and asset integrity of our units in operation and under construction.
  • the journey towards more efficient and lower-carbon energy, including the use of floating and digital solutions.
